Ahead of England vs Germany Friendly

Andre Schuerrle has said he is unsure whether Wayne Rooney would warrant selection in the Germany side ahead of Tuesday’s friendly with England at Wembley.

Manchester United star Rooney was instrumental for England during their 2014 World Cup qualification campaign, but Schuerrle believes that -- were he German -- he might struggle to break into Joachim Loew's starting XI.
"Rooney is a great player, but we have good quality too, in every position, and maybe twice, so I don't know if he would play," the Chelsea forward was quoted as saying in the Daily Mail.
Germany boss Loew offered a diplomatic response when asked about the quality of players available to Roy Hodgson.

It was another cold night at The theatre of dreams, and two Arch Rivals met again in a show down mirrored by Luis Suarez return and a humiliating defeat of Manchester United to their Neihgbours - Man city over the weekend. Rio Ferdinand warned his team mates that they must improve if they are to make an impact on the tournament, ahead of their opening group game against Bayer Leverkusen at Old Trafford.
In his words Ferdinand said that;
 "If you don't win it or don't get to the final, you've got to catch up," he told reporters.

"Last year we went out under dubious circumstances, to say the least, but hopefully we can improve.

"We improved last season on the season before last, so hopefully we can improve this year."
